Shoutout to PALS Recruitment Interns!

We give a big thank you to the PALS Recruitment Interns, Caden Cleffi and Sarai Cardenas. These two high school students have been working hard to bring their friends into PALS. We are so excited to share the fruits of their labors!

Caden Cleffi joined PALS last summer in Philadelphia. While experiencing the PALS magic and building an incredible friendship with his Partner, Caden knew he wanted more students at his high school to get involved with PALS in 2022. Since September 2021, he has been working with PALS to brainstorm ways in which more students at Radnor High School can join this summer and how Radnor High School can support  the PALS mission all year long. Thanks to Caden’s efforts, Radnor High School has been sharing about PALS and encouraging students to join in Pennsylvania. Caden serves as a PALS Recruitment Intern, actively working to bring more students into the PALS community.

Caden has hosted two presentations about PALS for Radnor High School students to attend. He has also been assisting his peers with the application process. We will see a number of students from Radnor High School at PALS Philadelphia this summer, thanks to Caden’s dedication to PALS!

Sarai Cardenas has been working with students at her school in Los Angeles to join PALS. Sarai became involved with PALS last summer when she joined PALS LA. She loved the experience and decided to have an internship with the organization. As a student at USC Hybrid High College Prep, she has been sharing the mission of PALS with other students and giving them the opportunity to join.

Sarai has presented about her experience at PALS last summer and what she is looking forward to this summer. She is grateful for the opportunity to create friendships with people with Down syndrome. Her peers were eager to join after hearing her story! Now, Sarai and several USC Hybrid High students will be at PALS Los Angeles this summer. We are so appreciative of the school’s emphasis on community service and involvement in and outside of the classroom.

Thank you to both Sarai and Caden for building two vital partnerships at PALS. We are inspired by both students’ motivation to bring more individuals into the PALS community. We look forward to a continued partnership with USC Hybrid High and Radnor High School!
