Welcome to the PALS Staff Team, Jo!

We are thrilled to welcome Jo Pressimone to the PALS staff team!

To further our commitment to creating a world of belonging, we are welcoming Jo to our team as the Advancement Manager at PALS. Jo will be working closely with the team to build up our fundraising operation and develop relationships with supporters across the country.

Now, let’s meet Jo!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I live in Baltimore, MD with my husband Peter and our cat Tizzy. Both Tizzy and Peter are from England, so we like to travel there as often as possible to visit my wonderful bonus-son Toby. I come from a huge family (12 kids!) and we all love singing and having fun together. I love a good road trip, being in the great outdoors, and singing at the top of my lungs.

Do you have any specific fun interests or hobbies?

I do the New York Times Crossword everyday. I really love musical theater, especially musicals by Stephen Sondheim. I am a singer at my church. And I love movies; one of my proudest achievements is having watched every movie on the AFI Top 100 Film list.

What’s your go-to snack?

I tend to like savory snacks better than sweets, especially Cool Ranch Doritos. But if I’m really peckish, I’ll go for a big spoonful of creamy Jif peanut butter!

If you could only eat one thing for a year, what would it be?

Mmmmm, a really nice charcuterie.

What are you looking forward to about working at PALS?

I am so excited to work with this amazing team! PALS has such an incredible mission, and the kind of people who are dedicated to its success are my kind of people!

Where will you be working from Jo?

I’ll be working from my house in Baltimore, at the desk that my husband built for me.

What’s your favorite PALS memory since you have attended Polar Palace and PALS Baltimore 2021?

My favorite PALS memory was being my partner Karin’s back-up dancer while she sang “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift at the Karaoke party!

Anything else you’d like to tell the PALS community?

Thanks to everyone for really embodying the value of “welcoming”! I am so happy to be here!

We are so excited to expand our team as Jo joins us in the advancement space. Please feel free to welcome Jo by emailing her at jo@palsprograms.org. We are grateful for her commitment to the mission of PALS and can’t wait to see Jo’s impact as we prepare for Summer 2022!
