PALS is thrilled to announce we have been accepted to be a certified organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. In the realm of non-profit organizations dedicated to making a positive impact, PALS Programs is eager to kick-off Summer 2024 and celebrate 20 years of impact and stories. Founded with the mission of fostering inclusivity and creating a world of belonging, PALS tries to go above and beyond to touch the lives of individuals across the country.
So what is The President’s Volunteer Service Award?
As stated on the Presidental Service Award website, in 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation established the President’s Volunteer Service Award to honor individuals whose commitment to service leaves an indelible mark on communities nationwide. This distinguished award serves as a testament to the crucial role volunteers play in shaping the strength and identity of the United States. It recognizes those whose selfless acts inspire others to join the ranks of civic-minded individuals, furthering the cause of positive change.
PALS Programs, known for its dedication to creating a world of belonging, has seen thousands of volunteers actively participating in the programs each season. From serving as Peers in our 1 to 1 pairings to leading and executing our camps as Program Leads, volunteers have made a lasting impact on communities across the country. PALS Programs takes pride in its role as a catalyst for positive change, fostering an environment where individuals of all abilities can come together, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships.
