We are kicking off PALS Summer 2023 in Baltimore in just a couple of days! We can’t wait to share the mission of PALS across the country this summer as we create communities of belonging for participants and volunteers. As we get ready to welcome everyone to Camp, we’re asking Partners, Peers, and Volunteer Leaders to spread the mission of PALS through their personal fundraising pages! Personal fundraising (or “peer to peer”) pages allow our friends and family members to get involved with PALS this summer. Participants can share the impact of PALS in their lives while inviting folks to support our summer programming. Fundraising at PALS supports housing, meals, transportation, and activities across all 18 programs this summer. It also increases the accessibility of PALS through financial assistance, scholarships, and the volunteer travel fund.
Some of our Participants are already doing an amazing job with their personal fundraising and we want to give them a special shoutout!
Meet Christian, Partner at PALS. He will be attending PALS for the first time this summer in Baltimore. Within just one week, Christian raised over $700 for PALS! Christian’s advice for fundraising? “Just ask to support a worthy cause that affords an opportunity of a life changing experience.” He is most excited for all of the amazing activities offered during the week of camp! Meet Will and Ally, Program Leads at PALS. Will and Ally have been planning PALS Baltimore since January while also fundraising to prepare. They have raised $380 with eight gifts together from family and friends who are excited to see them lead PALS Baltimore! We appreciate your support, Will and Ally!
Meet Marissa, Partner at PALS. Marissa has been joining PALS since 2012 on the west coast. As a long-time participant, she loves sharing about the impact of PALS and the incredible experience she has each summer. In just a matter of days, Marissa raised over $700 before she attends PALS San Francisco! Thank you so much for your dedication to PALS, Marissa!
Meet Sara, Peer at PALS. Sara will be joining New Jersey this summer. She received 4 donations in just 1 day! How did she do it? Sara told her friends about PALS through Instagram. She then received numerous questions from friends and family wanting more information! She shared her link and invited people to donate in those conversations. Sara suggested friends share the link with other people if they were not interested in donating. Way to start awesome conversations, Sara!
These are just a few of the incredible participants and volunteers that bring the PALS Magic to life! We can’t wait to see each person this summer and to shout out more participants all season long. Each person makes a HUGE impact!
